Dr. Scora earned his B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering and his M.S and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. He has over 15 years of experience working at UCR’s College of Engineering Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) in the Transportation Systems Research (TSR) group.
Dr. Scora’s areas of interest include vehicle emission modeling and transportation related energy and air quality issues. He has been involved in numerous research projects in evaluating the energy and emissions components of various Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and green transportation technologies including managed lanes, environmentally friendly navigation, eco-driving, traffic signal control and video based traffic detection.
